Case of the Week

Couple back to back SIP/SAP about 8 months apart. Bottom right shows 6 month recall on the #15 (2.7) approximately 1 year after the 14 was completed (2.6). .

Case of the Week

Patient presented with large lesion of endo origin that localized to tooth #9 (2.1). My Tx plan was “pack and wack” non surgical re-Tx with MTA obturation followed by apical surgery and a crown. Pt elected for just apical surgery. Top right is post op. Bottom left is 2 week recall which shows small scar made at the vertical. Bottom right shows 6 month healing which I think is significant thus far. Hopefully the 1 year recall heads in the right direction. .

Case of the Week

Two visit SIP/SAP. Not sure how this became so inflamed. No crack and very small resto. Working on my Dentin preservation. Recommended onlay over crown to preserve natural tooth structure. Thoughts ? 6 month recall on bottom right.

Case of the Week

Part 2 of the previous case – Treatment. Due to the location of the cervical invasive resorption , root canal therapy was necessary. An Incisal access was designed for dentin preservation. After the root canal , a lingual flap was raised , the defect was removed with burs , and TCA acid. Lingual defect was restored with Geristore , and incisal access was restored with a fiber post and resin.

Case of the Week

Part 1. This case was very interesting , and due to its complexity , involved multiple specialities. Part 2 which will soon be posted shows the treatment. Patient presented with invasive cervical resorption class 2/3 on tooth 4.3 (#27) most likely due to her recent orthodontic treatment. She had no other risk factors. The resorption was localized on the lingual aspect. She presented with no symptoms. Options were given including root canal therapy and a resin modified glass ionomer restoration or extraction and replacement. She wanted to save her tooth therefore we proceeded with treatment. As always , the CBCT was invaluable in treatment planning. .

Case of the Week

Upper send molar that presented with a necrotic pulp , and an acute apical abscess. Very deep split in the MB system that I completely missed during the first appt ( top right CaOH2 film ). Bottom left is the final , and bottom right is the 6 month recall. Palatal lesion of endo origin has healed. As always , I advised that the patient should get a full coverage restoration. …. #molar #dental #dentist #dentista #savingteeth #dentists #dentalcare #rootcanal #rootcanals #endo #endodoncia #endodontic #endodontia #endodontics #toronto #torontodentist #rootcanaltreatment #toronto #microendodontics #pulp
